Badseal Studios is a website where I can showcase/share my projects, connect with people and express my opinion with different Information technology topics. I created this website back when I was a computer science student. This website has gone through several web framework upgrade. Originally, this site was developed using Angular, and then I upgraded it to Django, and now it's using Next.js. This website will be used as a platform for my ideas that I built using different kind of technologies. I created this website to push myself to create challenging and unique applications that I'm proud to share with others. I will also use this website to share my opinion different topics that are related to technology. Cybersecurity is one of the topics that I'm passionate to talk about, so you'll see me discussing this topic from my posts. I also created this website to have a better understanding how web development works.

My design goals of this site are to create a simple looking but elegant site, aquatic theme, easy to read texts, responsive images, fast performance, and mobile friendly. I chose Next.js as the framework for my website because it allows static generation and server side rendering to build the html. This means that once the HTML has been delivered to the client (the user’s browser), nothing else needs to happen for the user to be able to read the content on the page. This makes page loading times appear much faster to the user.

Server Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG) also gives the benefit of an out-of-the-box, indexable and crawlable website, which is essential for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as the client side JavaScript does not need to be executed to see the page content. This is critical because my goal is to bring as many people as I can to this website because I want to expand my network by connecting with people.

A fan-made website for promoting Dexter: New Blood TV Series by Showtime.

New-Heloon is a gallery/blog type of website that I developed to document my travel adventures. One of my dreams is to travel around the world. Travelling is such a unique and an exciting experience for me. I love to go to different places that I haven’t been before, learn about the people, and dive into their culture. I’ve travelled to Korea, Canada, and different cities and states here in America. This year and next year, I’m going to put more effort on my travel journeys and go to more places that I haven’t visited before. The places that I want to visit someday are Japan, Berlin, Iceland, and Philippines. Another reason why I started this project is because my love for photography is growing.  My subject of choice are food, sceneries, and people. I recently bought a professional camera because I want to take photography more seriously. I’m currently learning how to properly use this camera, so I can take the best shots. Photography for me is more than just a hobby and a way for me to show my interpretation of the world around me. 

The way the website works is very straight forward. There are going to be 6 images that are displayed on the initial load. 6 additional pictures are going to be displayed every time when the user scrolls down. All of the images doesn't follow a particular order on where they get displayed on the page and these images are getting shuffled after a certain amount of days.  Each Image has a title, date, short description, comments, number of likes, and number of dislikes. Only admins in this site are allowed to upload images. Registered users can see all the images and they can also leave a comment, add likes/dislikes. Non-registered users are only allowed to view the images. 

Gallery/Blog type of website for documenting my travel adventures

Todo ultimate edition is a all-in-one todo lists for tasks. This application is very easy to use, but powerful enough to make your life easier and get things done. It allows you to add, delete and update tasks. Tasks can be sorted into groups. Multiple of task can be added for each group. As you complete tasks you can delete them from the list. The app is currently using google firebase to store all of its data.

Hacker's Island is a 2D platformer / point and click educational game made with Unity engine. This game is focused on story, exploration and learning anything about cybersecurity. One of the main selling point of the game is that the player will learn some of the effective ways on how they can protect themselves against hackers in real life. Privacy is getting taken for granted these days. Some people are oversharing their personal data on social media. The truth is that these social media conglomerates are actively monitoring and collecting our personal data and sell them to third-party advertisers for their own marketing purpose. I created this project to help spread awareness on how we can protect our data from hackers and also improve our privacy on the internet. This project is inspired by the hit television show Mr. Robot. I added some easter eggs in the game that is a reference to the show, so be sure to find them all!

About the story. Every year, hackers from all over the world travel to a place called hacker's island to join the most prestigious hacking tournament on the planet. The stakes are high this year because the most notorious yet illusive hacker "brocol33t" is joining the tournament. Explore the island, complete puzzles, learn about cybersecurity to become the best hacker.
